Suzuki GSX-R 1000 Service Manual: Oil pressure indicator inspection

Inspect the oil pressure indicator in the following procedures:

Note

before inspecting the oil pressure switch, check if the engine oil level is correct. Refer to “engine oil and filter replacement” in section 0b .

  1. Remove the left side cowling. Refer to “exterior parts removal and installation” in section 9d .
  2.  Disconnect the oil pressure switch lead wire (1) from the oil pressure switch.

  1. Turn the ignition switch on.
  2. Check if the oil pressure indicator (led) (2) will light up and lcd (3) will flicker when grounding the lead wire (1).

    If the oil pressure indicator does not light up, replace the combination meter assembly with a new one after checking the connection of couplers.
