Transmission installation
Install the transmission in the reverse order of removal.
Pay attention to the following points:
Bearing and oil seal
Caution
replace the removed bearings and oil seals
with new ones ...
Countershaft gear / driveshaft gear
disassembly and assembly
Refer to “transmission removal” and “transmission installation” .
Disassembly
Caution
identify the position of each removed part.
Organize the parts in their respective groups

Remove the gearshift shaft. Refer to “gearshift shaft / gearshift cam
plate removal and installation” .
Remove the gearshift shaft oil seal (1).
Remove the bearings (2) and (3) with the special
tools.

Ckp sensor inspection
Refer to “electrical components location” in section 0a .
Ckp sensor peak voltage
Lift and support the fuel tank. Refer to “fuel tank
removal and installation” in section 1g (page 1g-
9).
Disconnect the ckp sensor coupler (1).

Excva adjustment
Inspect the excva operation and adjust it if necessary
in the following steps:

Set the excva to the adjustment position. Refer to
